Age Calculator
Find out your exact age in years, months, and days.
About this tool
Calculate age from a birth date to today or to another date you choose. The result uses calendar years, months, and days rather than simply subtracting the two year numbers. It borrows days from the previous calendar month when needed, so different month lengths and leap years affect the final day count. Someone born on June 15, 2000 is 24 years old on June 15, 2024, but still 23 on June 14. Set the comparison date to May 1, 2020 to check how old that person was on a historical document. You can also use a future date to see the exact age a child will be when school, sports, or travel begins. Select the birth date first, then leave the “Age as of” field on today or replace it with the date that matters. The tool also shows the approximate total number of days between the dates, which is useful for milestones but may differ from an inclusive day count. For legal eligibility, contracts, benefits, or official filing deadlines, confirm the applicable rule: some policies measure age at the start of a day, end of a day, or on a specific cutoff date.
