About this tool
Work out a restaurant tip, total bill, and equal per-person share from one set of inputs. The tip is bill × tip percentage ÷ 100; the total is bill + tip; and the split is total ÷ number of people. Preset percentages speed up common choices, while the custom option handles any service standard or personal preference. On an $80 bill, a 20% tip is $16 and the total is $96. Split among 4 diners, that is $24 each. For a $47.50 haircut with an 18% tip, gratuity is $8.55 and the combined charge is $56.05. Use it at restaurants, cafés, salons, delivery handoffs, or group outings where mental arithmetic can be awkward. Enter the pre-tip bill, choose or type the percentage, and set at least one person. The result divides the entire total equally; it does not account for different orders, coupons applied to only one diner, tax-specific tipping preferences, or individual contributions. Round the displayed amount as needed for cash payments or local currency conventions.
